One step at a time

Let’s make it

  1. Brewing

Bring 1.5 liters of water to a boil in a saucepan over medium-high heat.

  2. Brewing

Remove the pan from heat and add the 4 black tea bags, sliced peaches, and fresh mint leaves to the hot water. Cover and steep for 8 minutes.

  3. Brewing

Remove the tea bags, peach slices, and mint leaves by straining the tea into a heatproof pitcher. Gently press the peach slices to extract extra flavor before discarding them.

  4. Sweetener

While the tea is still warm, stir in honey if desired to sweeten. Adjust sweetness according to your preference.

  5. Chilling

Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until thoroughly chilled, at least 1 hour.

  6. Serving

To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled peach mint tea over. Garnish with a fresh mint leaf if desired.

A little kitchen wisdom

Tips & notes

Use ripe, fragrant peaches for the best flavor. Steeping the peach slices along with the tea enhances the natural sweetness and aroma. Adjust honey sweetness as per your taste.

Saving it for later

Store leftover iced tea in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Stir before serving as separation may occur.

Reheating

This iced tea is best served cold and is not intended to be reheated. For a warm version, brew fresh tea without chilling and add peach and mint for flavor.
