Privacy Policy

Effective September 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains the information SociaCook processes when you browse the website or use its administrative services.

Information you provide

SociaCook does not currently offer public account registration, recipe submissions, comments, ratings, or favorites. If you use the contact form, we store the name, email address, subject, and message you provide so the inquiry can be reviewed and answered. Authorized administrators may provide an email address and authentication credentials to access private site-management tools.

Recipe analytics and cookies

When an eligible visitor opens a published recipe, SociaCook adds one view to an aggregate daily count. A signed, HTTP-only cookie remembers recently viewed recipe identifiers for approximately 30 minutes so immediate refreshes are not counted repeatedly. The cookie does not contain your name, email address, or the pages’ recipe content. Browsers sending a recognized Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal are excluded from this counting and the analytics cookie is cleared when present.

Private administrative access uses a secure session cookie for sign-in, security, and session continuity. Public browsing does not open an administrative session.

Technical information

Like most websites, SociaCook and its hosting infrastructure may process standard request information needed to deliver and protect the service, such as IP address, browser or device information, requested URL, date and time, referring page, and error or security events. Application error logs are designed to avoid passwords, authorization credentials, and full private payloads.

Advertising and third-party services

SociaCook uses Google Analytics on public pages to understand aggregate site usage. Google may receive browser, device, page, and approximate location information and may set analytics cookies under its own privacy terms. The Google Analytics tag is not loaded for administrative pages or requests carrying a recognized Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. SociaCook does not currently display third-party advertising or use affiliate links or social embeds. Links to other websites are governed by those sites’ own privacy practices.

How information is used and shared

Information is used to operate, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and understand the website; administer published content; respond to messages; and comply with legal obligations. SociaCook does not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Information may be handled by hosting and infrastructure providers as necessary to operate the service, disclosed when legally required, or transferred as part of a legitimate business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.

Retention and security

Aggregate recipe-view totals may be retained as historical site statistics. Administrative account records, contact messages, and security logs are retained for as long as reasonably needed for access control, operations, responding to inquiries, security, dispute resolution, or legal requirements. SociaCook uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Children’s privacy

SociaCook is a general-audience recipe service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the contact form, contact us so the concern can be reviewed.

U.S. state privacy rights

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights to request access, correction, or deletion of certain personal information, or to appeal a response. SociaCook does not currently sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. We may need to verify a request before acting on it, and legal exceptions may apply.

Policy changes and contact

We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. For privacy questions or requests, use the contact method on our Contact page.
