One step at a time

Let’s make it

  1. Place the diced watermelon, hulled and halved strawberries, ice cubes, fresh lime juice, and honey (if using) in a blender.

  2. Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and slushy in texture. If the slush is too thick, add a splash of cold water or lime juice and blend again to reach desired consistency.

  3. Pour the slush into chilled glasses and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired. Serve immediately for best refreshment.

A little kitchen wisdom

Tips & notes

Use ripe, fresh watermelon and strawberries for the best natural sweetness. Adjust the honey to your taste or omit it for a naturally sweet drink. Serve immediately to enjoy the slush texture without melting.

Saving it for later

Store any leftover slush in an airtight container in the freezer. It may harden; allow to sit at room temperature for a few minutes and stir or blend again before serving.

Reheating

This slush is best served cold and is not suitable for reheating. If melted, blend again with ice cubes to restore slush texture.
