One step at a time

Let’s make it

  1. Place the strawberries, ice cubes, and fresh lime juice into a powerful blender.

  2. Add honey if using, then pour in cold water as needed to help blend to a smooth slushy consistency.

  3. Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and icy, about 30 seconds.

  4. Taste and adjust sweetness with more honey or lime juice if desired. Blend briefly again if adjustments are made.

  5. Pour into glasses and garnish each with fresh mint leaves before serving immediately.

A little kitchen wisdom

Tips & notes

Use ripe, sweet strawberries for the best flavor. If fresh strawberries are not in season, frozen unsweetened strawberries can be used. Adjust the honey to your sweetness preference and add lime juice gradually for balanced tartness.

Saving it for later

Since this slush is best served fresh, refrigerate any leftovers in a sealed container for up to 24 hours. Stir well before serving as separation may occur.

Reheating

Not intended for reheating. Serve cold immediately after preparation.
