Let’s make it

  1. Tea Base

Bring 1.5 liters of water to a near boil and steep 6 black tea bags for 5 minutes to prepare a strong brewed tea base. Remove tea bags and discard.

  2. Sweetening

While the tea is still warm, stir in 1/2 cup granulated sugar until completely dissolved. Allow the sweetened tea to cool to room temperature.

  3. Mixing

Once the tea has cooled, add 1 cup peach puree and stir well to combine all flavors evenly.

  4. Serving

Fill large pitchers or glasses with ice cubes. Pour the peach sweet tea over the ice and stir gently.

  5. Garnish and Serve

Garnish each serving with fresh peach slices and mint leaves if desired. Serve chilled and enjoy.

A little kitchen wisdom

Tips & notes

Use ripe, juicy peaches for the puree to get the best natural sweetness and aroma. Adjust sugar quantity based on your preferred sweetness and peach sweetness. Prepare tea base ahead and chill to save time on hot days.

Saving it for later

Store leftover peach sweet tea covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Stir before serving as some settling may occur.

Reheating

This tea is best served cold and does not require reheating. Serve with fresh ice for optimal refreshing taste.
