One step at a time

Let’s make it

  1. Place the fresh strawberries, vanilla ice cream, cold milk, vanilla extract (if using), and granulated sugar (if using) into a blender.

  2. Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy, about 30 seconds to 1 minute, depending on your blender.

  3. Taste the milkshake and adjust sweetness by adding more sugar if desired. Blend briefly again if you add sugar.

  4. Pour the milkshake into chilled glasses. Top with whipped cream and garnish with strawberry slices if desired.

A little kitchen wisdom

Tips & notes

Use cold ingredients to keep the milkshake thick and creamy. For a thicker shake, add more ice cream or freeze the strawberries before blending. To make it dairy-free, substitute milk and ice cream with plant-based alternatives.

Saving it for later

Milkshakes are best enjoyed immediately. If stored in the refrigerator, cover and consume within 24 hours. Stir well before drinking as ingredients may separate.

Reheating

Milkshakes are served cold and should not be reheated. Stir gently if separated before serving again chilled.
