Let’s make it
Tea Base
Bring 1 liter of water to a boil. Remove from heat and steep the black tea bags in the hot water for 5 minutes until strong, then remove the tea bags.
Simple Syrup
While the tea steeps, prepare a simple syrup by combining 50 grams of sugar with 0.5 liter of hot water, stirring until the sugar fully dissolves. Let cool.
Mix Drink
Once the tea has cooled to room temperature, combine the brewed tea with the simple syrup and fresh lemon juice in a pitcher. Stir well to blend.
Chilling
Refrigerate the mixture until well chilled, about 30 minutes to 1 hour until cold.
Serving
To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the chilled Arnold Palmer mixture over the ice, and garnish with lemon slices as desired.
Tips & notes
Use freshly squeezed lemon juice for the best flavor. Adjust sweetness by varying the simple syrup amount. Brew tea strong enough so it doesn't taste weak when chilled and diluted with lemon juice.
Saving it for later
Store any leftover Arnold Palmer in a covered pitcher in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Stir before serving as ingredients may settle.
Reheating
This drink is best served chilled and should not be reheated. Stir well before serving if stored in the refrigerator.
